I was diagnosed as needing Total Hip Replacement (THR) the same month that I started my YouTube channel, so I went ahead and started documenting my hip journey.  Little did I know that two years later my Hip Vlog would grow to become one of the most comprehensive resources for THR on the internet!

I am retired and helping others through my not-for-profit hip vlog and YouTube channels is my retirement hobby.

One of my lifelong guiding principles is “Every person has the ability to improve the life of someone else” and it’s been on our fridge for over 25 years!

I love playing beach volleyball, hiking, biking, board games, travel and helping others win at the game of life. I am married to a Spanish lady and we have three grown children. Mike the cat co-hosts some of my Hip Vlogs.  He’s 13 years old and was a great companion during my recovery from THR.  He and his brother were named after the candy “Mike & Ikes”.
